Winter Craft: Paper Penguin

Are you looking for a fun winter themed craft to do with your students? This paper penguin requires very few materials and simple techniques, making it a great choice for younger students as well as your budget! Take the opportunity to squeeze in one more winter craft before the spring season begins.

Animal crafts are often a hit with students. Penguins are a popular animal that kids will love to talk about. Instead of just doing a craft, make it a lesson! Teach about different types of penguins and their habitats. It’s likely that students won’t even realize there are penguins that live near the equator.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this simple craft.

Materials:peguinfinal

Black, White, and Orange Construction Paper
Tape

These crafts take up a fair amount of space, so it may be prudent to send them home with students right away. Besides, with March on the horizon we’re sure you are going to want to fill your classroom with spring decorations anyway. While it is true that not all penguins live around Antarctica, they are still associated with the cold.

We hope you and your students enjoy this craft. Check back in March for a fun craft that will be perfect to do in the classroom (or at home) for St. Patrick’s Day! Until then keep checking back for teaching tips, information about our sales, and more.
