February Craft: Tissue Paper Heart Card

We’ve mixed a classic crafting technique with a fresh idea for this fun Valentine’s Day card that your students can make for a loved one. Why settle for a simple construction paper card when you can help your students create something more unique without that much more work?

Your students will get to practice fine-motor skills and exercise their creativity with this project. We’ve included a link to tissue paper squares below. If you already have tissue paper, you may want to cut it into squares beforehand to save some time in the classroom.

Here’s what you’ll need.

Materials:

Red/Pink Construction Paper
Red/White Tissue Paper
Glue
Pencil
Marker
Scissors
Tape

You can find the full printable list of instructions HERE.

Encourage your students to personalize the message on the card. Feel free to branch out from the colors we used in our example as well! We stuck with the more traditional Valentine’s Day colors but your students certainly don’t have to.

Show us some pictures in the comments if you make these with your class! Don’t forget to check back in next month for a brand new spring craft!
